There are an estimated 60,000 abandoned children and 200,000 highly at-risk, vulnerable gypsy children in Romania today. UNICEF reports that the abandonment rate has remained unchanged in the past 30 years.
Livada’s holistic approach begins by nurturing orphans in the cradle and ends with them becoming faithful, interdependent, and contributing members of society. The platform of all programs is a discipleship process leading to life change and personal responsibility.
Awaken has been able to commit several years of support to the mission of Livada, providing hope and care to children in their care.
Love Them More Ministries is a non-profit organization that provides duffle bags and essentials to children that are removed from their East Texas homes and placed in foster care.
Deeply Rooted Grounds was a ministry dedicated to meeting both the physical and spiritual needs of children and families in Nicaragua. Through nourishing meals, local partnerships, and the love of Christ in action, Deeply Rooted Grounds brought hope to communities facing food insecurity and poverty.
Thanks to the generous support of Awaken, this ministry was able to provide 40,000 meals to children in need in Nicaragua—offering not only daily nourishment, but also dignity, care, and a tangible reminder that they are seen and valued.
