LDBC is a great place to experience God and life together in various forms of fellowship. Whether it is through Community Groups, weekly Bible studies, or fun activities throughout the year, Lavon Drive is great for ALL ages! Check out what is happening on campus!
Making connections at church is important for everyone to feel comfortable sharing and growing in Christ. Our process begins with the Connect Class. This class will help to introduce you to Lavon Drive Baptist Church and discuss our process: Connect, Grow, Serve, Share. The second step in our process is Grow. This is where discipleship occurs, and our approach to this is through Community Groups. Community Groups are a small group of individuals that meet at various times throughout the week to share life together. We have found that this approach promotes transparency and close-knit relationships that help each of us grow in Christ. Our third area of focus in our approach to ministry is to encourage our church body to Serve. We have many areas in which you can serve and use your gifts to help advance the Kingdom of Christ. Whether this is through our Technical Arts Ministry or a part of our Music Ministry, there is always a space available for someone willing to help. For more information about the various areas of ministry where you can serve, please click the link below to email Emily Crawford, our Community Director.
The last focus on our approach to ministry is centered on how to Share the Gospel. For years we have been able to send millions to global missions and we will continue to do so. This includes a desire to aid church members that feel the calling to global ministry. However, we are not just interested in supporting new and existing missionaries. We believe that the Great Commission is a calling for all of us. As a ministry, we want to help equip our church members with how to share His message, whether it is across the street or around the world.
