Mr. Dick Leetch, Pastoral Care

Bro. Dick joined the staff of Lavon Drive in 1974 as Director of Bus Ministries. His original responsibilities included inner-city bus outreach, commercial vehicle maintenance, and coordinating transportation for school and church functions. By 1978, he had assumed greater responsibilities in the day-to-day operations of the church as Lavon Drive’s business manager. Today, he continues to serve in these areas, which now include information technology and administration of church finances. Prior to joining the church staff, he served as a professional auto mechanic. In addition to his duties at Lavon Drive, Mr. Leetch oversees the areas of registration and financial accounting for the Southwide Baptist Fellowship.

Bro. Dick was saved at the age of 25, and he committed his life to full-time ministry at the age of 26, while chaperoning at a youth winter camp. During his more than 30 years at Lavon Drive, he has helped the church maintain a balanced ministry of membership in-reach and community outreach.

Bro. Dick’s wife, Mrs. Jeri Leetch, is also active in ministry. For over 30 years, she has served as a children’s Sunday School Division Leader. The Leetch’s have four children: Sean, Tami, and Tara, who live in Texas, and Aaron who resides in Arkansas. The Leetch’s also have 9 grandchildren.

In his spare time, Bro. Dick enjoys motorcycle riding, antique vehicle restoration, and playing with the grandkids.
